i made lentil soup it was very good, here is the recipe

2 cups green lentils
8 cups vegetable stock
2 tbsp olive oil
2 sticks of celery (chopped) and some peas or something
half of a big onion chopped up
3 star anise
2 tbsp red wine vinegar
salt and adobo to taste

directions: saute celery, peas, and onion, and anise in a pot until onion is a little soft. add the lentils, vegetable oil, vinegar, adobo and salt. boil the lentils until they are soft so like 30 minutes or so. add more water if needed.
